Entrada Group Adds Another Wire Harness-Producing Client in Mexico

Michigan-based producer of wire and vehicle maintenance items will double its global production capacity with first-ever operation outside of the US

March 10, 2023 (Austin, TX) – Entrada Group, the leading strategic partner for international wire harness producers in Mexico, announces its newest client, Terminal Supply Company (TSC), is launching its first-ever Mexico production location at Entrada’s manufacturing campus in Zacatecas, Mexico.

The multiyear strategic partnership with Entrada Group will result in Terminal Supply Company’s first location of any kind outside of the US. The family-owned-and-operated company, which is headquartered in Troy, Michigan, produces and distributes solderless electrical terminals, and wire and vehicle maintenance items for clients worldwide.

Entrada Group’s startup experts are currently hard at work guiding TSC through the setup and buildout phase of a 30,000 sq. ft. facility. Process validation is planned for Q2 2023; production is scheduled to start by Q3, and TSC hopes to have 100 people working in Mexico by 2024.

Entrada Group will oversee all non-production-related support in Mexico for TSC: labor, compliance know-how, logistical expertise, import/export and Customs, startup support and more. The comprehensive resources and base of operations that Entrada Group could offer made opening a production facility in Mexico a quick, systematic process for TSC.

Doing More in Mexico

“With this doubling of our of capacity in Mexico, we are able to offer small-run custom assembly as well as high-volume program production to our OEM and aftermarket customers,” says Scott Leslie, President of Terminal Supply Company.

Expanding production was a strategic priority for TSC that Mexico makes possible in unique ways. Central Mexico offers a youthful workforce that has experience in wire harness assembly, to help TSC overcome labor shortages in the US and satisfy fast-growing demand. The Mexico location also affords TSC wider distribution throughout North America, helping it access new suppliers and customers.

Advancing American Manufacturing From Mexico

Eager to expand into Mexico but inexperienced at migrating across borders, TSC turned to the Entrada Group for expertise. Comprehensive startup services afforded TSC the velocity to enter Mexico and establish production within six months.

“We are honored to be partnering with Terminal Supply Company, which is keeping American manufacturing strong in so many ways,” says John Paul McDaris, Director of Business Development at Entrada Group. “Mexican operations will help TSC’s domestic facilities and workforce remain vibrant and viable for years to come, while expanding overall production capacity and reach. Further, TSC’s products made in Mexico will go into trucks and heavy machinery used by working men and women across America,” McDaris adds.
