In 2015, Entrada inaugurated our new, 60-acre Celaya manufacturing campus, featuring 70,000 sq ft of manufacturing space for use by producers. The Celaya campus, which will eventually be a $50 million investment that encompasses 15 buildings, is based on Entrada’s experience throughout the last 14 years in developing and operating our campus in Fresnillo, Zacatecas.
Our Celaya campus is in the heart of Mexico’s fastest-expanding manufacturing region, which is now home to companies from around the world. Manufacturers from diverse industries including automotive, aerospace, medical device and consumer electronics produce in and around Celaya. These foreign multinationals know the value of a physical presence in Mexico. And Entrada is strategically positioned to help suppliers to these companies establish their own regional presence.
Celaya is situated in the state of Guanajuato, which features 70% of Mexico’s international trade and 70% of the country’s automotive industry. Additionally, Guanajuato is a powerful logistics center thanks to its excellent roads, railroads and international airport. This transport network ensures direct connections to the U.S., the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf.
A diverse range of multinational corporations manufacture products for export all over the world from Celaya. Employers appreciate that Celaya is within 40 minutes of abundant international schools and communities. There are 26 educational institutions preparing the next generation of the workforce in Guanajuato.
Celaya boasts a cosmopolitan environment with recreational and lifestyle amenities equivalent to what an expatriate would find in their home country.
