Entrada Clients Expand Footprint and Commitment to Central Mexico Manufacturing
(By Doug Donahue)
It is common for Entrada Group clients to experience the need to expand their production footprint in central Mexico after they have spent some time in the area. As companies become accustomed to operating in the region and realize new growth opportunities as a result of their presence in Mexico, cases of doubling of manufacturing space and staff headcount are not out of the ordinary. Recent lease extensions by Entrada clients Premium Sound Solutions (a D+M Group Company) and Axiom illustrate this trend well.
In late September, Premium Sound Solutions and Entrada agreed to a five-year lease extension and shelter contract in our industrial park and shared services facility in Zacatecas (read more here). The Belgium-based company, which builds audio products for the automotive industry, has increased their manufacturing footprint from 43,000 square feet to 87,000 square feet and doubled their headcount under Entrada Group’s assistance over the past four-plus years.
Close on their heels in October, Axiom, a producer of high-performance fishing rods, also agreed to five-year lease and shelter contract extension (details here). By virtue of the space expansion and extension, the US-based company will be able to start producing rods for the online and private label markets.
